This is a start-from-scratch opportunity to build a practice group dedicated to emerging tech. The objective is to help colleagues and clients identify new market opportunities, and develop and roll out brand and marketing strategies and campaigns that incorporate and celebrate the metaverse, Web 3, and emerging financial technologies.
The ideal candidate will help to make Vero the most sought-after brand consultancy in Southeast Asia for campaigns inside and outside the Metaverse and to help tell the stories of progress on behalf of our clients.
Principal Responsibilities
- Primary accountability is to drive the development and implementation of brand campaigns in Web3 (Metaverse, NFTs)
- Delivery of innovative marketing – by unlocking market opportunities through insights, marketing science, data, and analytics, creativity, and collaboration
- The geographical remit includes potential for impact across all Vero markets in Southeast Asia
- Accountable to the head of consumer communications.
- Responsible for thought leadership within the consultancy on the topics such as the Metaverse, Web3, and NFTS with a specific focus on how these technologies apply to brands and stakeholders in Southeast Asia.

Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in a PR / communications role with experience serving clients at multinational brands in technology, FMCG, fashion and beauty, gaming, entertainment, or other industries with the potential to launch campaigns within the Metaverse.
- A strong point of view on how PR and communications professionals can best service companies in the cryptocurrency and financial technology industry.
- Adaptable, versatile, and the ability to keep up to date with consumer and marketing trends and advancements in technology.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to provide sound counsel and recommendations to clients.
- Leadership and management potential to mentor and grow junior colleagues.
- Good communication and presentation skills in English, as well as negotiation skills and experience managing budgets.

The objective is to help clients in the financial technology and crypto currency industry achieve their communications and business goals through creative, compelling, relatable PR, social, influencer marketing campaigns.
The ideal candidate will help to make Vero the most sought-after brand consultancy in Southeast Asia for campaigns related to the financial technology industry and, and to help tell the stories of progress and innovation on behalf of our clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES
You will collaborate with account managers and directors to supporting the agency’s English-language copywriting, research, and content strategy efforts throughout the ASEAN region by developing compelling narratives for both client assignments and internal agency projects. This will include developing press releases and stories for the agency’s clients, supporting a sustained content strategy for the agency blog, and producing agency publications such as reports and white papers.
As a support unit for local account teams, you will be involved from time to time in the strategic development of creative copywriting, branded journalism projects, proposing content opportunities, taglines, and suggesting creative angles that carry our client’s brand messages. Regarding projects that are published in English, you will often be the final editor and proofreader before publication.
For in-house agency projects such as blog articles, white papers, newsletters, and agency social media posts, you will report to the agency’s regional Head of Culture. For client work such as press releases, editorials, and branded social media posts, you will work directly with the account teams for their respective clients and report to the COO and CEO as needed.
CRITERIA
- Excellent technical and stylistic proficiency in English-language writing. You have a degree from an English-language university and/or a minimum of two years working experience in a word-based content development related field such as journalism, creative writing, or brand copywriting.
- While knowledge of local Southeast Asian languages is not required, you should have a sensitivity and willingness to adapt your communication style to local cultural norms. Experience in translation/localization is helpful.
- You believe efficient communication is sparked by positive conversations.

Travel And Place of Work
Your usual location for work will be the company’s office. Your place of work may vary depending on the Company’s needs, including Thailand, Indonesia, Myanmar and Vietnam, or other locations as instructed from time to time. Additional expenses, incurred by you as a result of the Company directing that you work from a location other than your usual location, will be reimbursed by the Company.

The successful candidate will work with the team focused on digital marketing, creative online campaigns, influencer campaigns, online and offline activation activities and events, report and analysis, and coordination as part of the Agency’s scope of work for Clients from Myanmar and sometimes with other key markets as part of the client’s regional hub, based in Myanmar.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Client Service
- Assist the client service lead for the accounts your team oversee, being the second PIC for client management and support the team to provide the utmost level of client service.
- Attend meetings, being responsive in group chats with clients, ensuring you are on top of your accounts’ activities, and providing prompt help for accounts associated to your clients are all examples of this.
- Liaise with clients daily to ensure that they receive the best possible guidance and support
from you and the relationships with the clients remain intact.
Account Management
- Support in digital account, influencer relations, event management, media relations and content preparation and need to be responsible for supporting account team to ensure smoothness of workflow
- Collaborate with the team to generate ideas for content, create a plan for organizing the content, and ensure timely delivery to the client.
- Work together with a team to fulfil client KPIs while also aiding other departments as needed and delivering excellent business results for the agency.
- Collaborate with the support teams and provide your all in the marketing and advertising initiatives for your clients and prospects.
- Develop effective campaigns plans using appropriate strategies tactics, organize and coordinate client activities, analyse results of campaigns of efforts, checking and reporting on the campaign’s progress, negotiate with clients and solving any problems.
- Accurately assess that the deliverables are completed on schedule and to the client’s satisfaction, as well as that the work is of excellent quality.
- Build relationships and networks with key influencers, media as well as suppliers.
ABOUT YOU
- Bachelor’s in communications or marketing-related degree (or equivalent)
- Two or more years of proven experience in the advertising and marketing fields is preferred
- Proven strong critical thinking
- Strong verbal and written skills in both English and the mother tongue language
