PR Account Executive (Vietnam)

RESPONSIBILITIES

Working to build the Vero business in Vietnam and across ASEAN. Includes supporting client accounts, counseling clients, supporting new business development – and, in general, ensuring clients and stakeholders are satisfied with Vero’s work. Also includes responsibility for business development activities. You will assist your account managers in pitching and supporting client activity in the realm of PR & influencer engagement, social, and digital. Includes providing creative solutions to client’s challenges and embracing emerging marketing technology for the betterment of the agency and client business.

Overall, you would be working with a team to meet client KPIs, assisting other teams if need be, and generating positive business results for the agency. You would be reporting to your team leaders.

CLIENT SERVICE

  • Assist the client service lead for the accounts your team oversees, serving as the point of contact for client management. Support the team in providing the highest level of client service and work closely with them to ensure that all client needs are met. 
  • Attend meetings with clients, be responsive in group chats, and ensure that you stay up-to-date with your account’s activities. Be prompt in providing help for accounts associated with your clients. 
  • Proactively liaise with clients daily to ensure they receive the best possible guidance and support from you. Maintain strong relationships with clients, working to foster trust and confidence in the agency’s abilities. 
  • Actively seek out opportunities to add value to client relationships by identifying potential areas for growth or improvement. 
  • Regularly review account performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and make recommendations to the client service lead and the account team. 
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting to clients, ensuring that all data is relevant, insightful, and presented in a clear and concise manner.

ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT

  • You will be responsible for managing influencer relations, event management, media relations, and content preparation. You will support the account team to ensure a smooth workflow. 
  • Work collaboratively with your team to fulfill client KPIs, aid other departments as needed, and deliver excellent business results for the agency. 
  • Collaborate with support teams and actively participate in marketing and advertising initiatives for your clients and prospects. 
  • Develop effective campaign plans by utilizing appropriate strategies and tactics. Organize and coordinate client activities, analyze the results of the campaign efforts, check and report on the campaign’s progress, negotiate with clients, and resolve any problems. 
  • Accurately assess that all deliverables are completed on schedule and to the client’s satisfaction, ensuring the work is of excellent quality. 
  • Build strong relationships and networks with key influencers, media, and suppliers. 

 

ABOUT YOU

  • You have at least 2-3 years of working experience in a communication-related field, working with brands across digital communication, public relations, and/or brand strategy.
  • You have proven work experience in excellent social content planning and writing, especially dual language and content in both Vietnamese and English and are proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • You have experience consulting brands in either public relations, digital communication or brand strategy.
  • You believe efficient communication is sparked by positive conversations.
  • You trust that creativity, openness to new experiences and others’ opinions, and empathy are at the heart of great communication strategies.
  • You have good English speaking and writing skills, and you are comfortable working in a young, multicultural environment.
  • You are highly organized, curious, and creative, and your friends rely on you to organize crazy parties/activities.

  • Your experience in Healthcare/Tech/Hospitality is a plus.

TRAVEL & PLACE TO WORK

Your usual location for work will be the company’s office in Vietnam. Your place of work may vary depending on the Company’s needs, including Thailand, Indonesia, Myanmar, the Philippines, or other locations as instructed from time to time. Additional expenses incurred by you as a result of the Company directing that you work from a location other than your usual location will be reimbursed by the Company.

POSITION REVIEW

Pitching, managing and supporting client activity in the realm of PR, social, digital & influencer engagement. Includes coordinating the teams to develop comprehensive communication strategies for prospects, providing creative solutions to client’s challenges and embracing emerging marketing technology for the betterment of the agency and client business. You will also be in direct contact with clients and will develop strategies for prospects as well as for some of the agency’s current accounts. On top of this, you will get involved in the agency’s own communication, pushing our brand to attract a wider number of potential clients and employees online. Finally, you will be responsible for building, training, managing and retaining your own team of communication professionals within the agency.

Overall, you would be working with a team to meet client KPIs, cooperating with clients and media in daily basis to grow brands and spread our client’s messages, building strong relationships with stakeholders, assisting other departments and management if need be and generating positive business results for the agency. You will be reporting to your department lead.

 

 

ABOUT  YOU

  • You have at least 3-5 years of working experience in a PR/communication/marketing-related field, managing both external accounts and an internal team.
  • You communicate effectively, and you believe efficient communication is sparked by active listening, tactical empathy, and positive conversations.
  • You trust that creativity and empathy are at the heart of great communication strategies.
  • You have experience consulting corporate brands from inside or outside, with a track record of coordinating multiple stakeholders to execute complex projects in either public relations, digital communication or brand strategy.

TRAVEL & PLACE OF WORK

Your usual location for work will be the company’s office in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages Vero Advocacy’s public policy clients and internal teams independently and leads day-to-day client communication and coordination in Vietnam 
  • Provides high-standard client service and produces excellent written deliverables, mostly in English. Deliverables include client reports, analyses, proposals, briefing documents, PowerPoint presentations, etc
  • Initiates strategically sound plans and recommendations for clients 
  • Engages and coordinates with government and non-government stakeholders in the fields related to clients’ issues

ABOUT  YOU

  • Minimum of 5 years of full-time work experience in a consulting firm, corporation, government organization, industry association, or academic institution 
  • Bachelor’s degree in political science, economics, law, social science, journalism, or a related field. A master’s degree in a related field is strongly preferred 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work in an international environment using English (advanced level) and Vietnamese languages (native is preferred). Strong persuasive communication skill is preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

In charge of Vero’s brand identity throughout ASEAN, and ensuring its coherence across all visual assets. This involves creating and overseeing all brand elements across media, such as but not limited to:

  • Website (Blog Posts, Case Studies, Industry Insights, Vero News) banners: static, animated
  • Social Media (Facebook, LinkedIn, IG): static, animated
  • White Paper (Microsoft PowerPoint and website) layout and design
  • Quarterly Newsletter (headers, banners)
  • HR Initiatives (Career Announcements, Team Portraits)
  • Company Projects (Sessions, Surveys, Campaigns: Wellness, Mental Health, Holidays…)
  • Brand Templates (Credentials, Town Hall Deck, Stationary, Merch)

As Art & Brand Director, you will also contribute to regional projects when necessary. This includes potential support for account managers during client meetings related to branding and graphic designs.

ABOUT YOU:

  • Experience researching and producing cutting-edge visual assets both static and animated
  • Experience owning a brand’s visual identity and maintaining it across formats and channels.
  • A visual storyteller by nature, with strong creative thinking, conceptualization, and design execution skills for visual media (images, animations and videos)
  • Great knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, and branding
  • Proficient use of InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, or other visual design and wireframing tools
  • Knowledgeable in Generative AI tools for creative design
  • Deep understanding of design trends and principles across different platforms (website, social media, print)
  • Outstanding English writing and speaking skills

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our Vietnam office as the Media Relations Lead.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the media strategy and relationships for our clients looking to enhance their reputation in Vietnam. As the Media Relations Lead, you will be crucial in shaping and executing effective communication plans, building and nurturing key relationships, and providing strategic guidance to our clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful candidate will spearhead media strategies, nurture relationships, and facilitate effective communication workflows to elevate our clients’ reputations in the Vietnamese market. Key responsibilities include:

Analytics Workflow Development

  • Set up an analytics workflow to survey media channels and monitor engagement metrics.
  • Utilize analytics insights to inform and optimize media strategies for clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to leverage analytics data for strategic decision-making.

Engagement Workflow Implementation

  • Establish an engagement workflow, leveraging insights to build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders.

Communication Workflow Enhancement

  • Develop and implement communication workflows to add value to discussions with media, clients, and prospects.

ABOUT YOU:

  • Proven experience in media strategy development and execution, preferably in a communications consultancy or media agency. .
  • Strong network and relationships with senior journalists, editors, and opinion leaders in Vietnam.
  • Excellent understanding of the media landscape in Vietnam, including emerging trends and key players.
  • Experience in crisis communications and managing media relations during challenging situations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and foster collaboration and deliver exceptional results.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide strategic insights and recommendations.
  • Fluency in Vietnamese and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

TRAVEL AND PLACE OF WORK:

Your usual work location will be the company’s office in Vietnam. However, your place of work may vary depending on the Company’s needs, including Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, or other locations as instructed from time to time. The company will reimburse you for additional expenses incurred because the Company directs that you work from a location other than your usual location. Standard working hours are flexible, Monday through Friday. This may vary depending on workload and client needs.

OTHER BENEFITS:

  • Annual Bonus: An “enhanced 13th month” through which you will receive an annual extra sum of money equal to your salary in the preceding month plus a fraction of annual company benefits. The year-end bonus is determined by the Company and at its sole discretion.
  • Flexible Office: All our employees can choose where they want to work on any given day, whether it be from the office, from home, from a coffee shop, or a yacht in the Pacific Ocean.
  • Working days: Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5:30 pm (including 1 hour of lunch break). This may be flexible depending on workload and client needs.
  • International Travel: We encourage our teams to travel for events and client work as much as possible. In any given year, manager-level team members have the opportunity to visit some of our other offices, attend industry events, and follow their clients if they handle regional projects.
  • Leave: Your allocated holiday time at Vero will be unlimited. We trust our people to use good judgment when given guidelines for making decisions about taking a holiday, and we know that our teams work better when they can rest and take a proper break from work. Our goal is that every team takes an average of 15 days (minimum!) per person a year.
  • Wellness day off: Take one paid day per quarter to unplug and treat yourself to something nice.
  • Thought Leadership and training: We sponsor team members with internal and external training tools and resources; we even incentivize employees to complete classes. Details of training programs and incentives will be shared upon your onboarding. This includes training and development investments organized by the company and specialized programs that our executives may come across and feel are needed for their development. For example, this could be a program organized by a group such as PR WEEK or PRCA or a training program that focuses on business in general. Across the Vero group, we are seeking new and better ways to help people develop careers – and, of course, this would apply to the Philippines, too.
  • Health Insurance: The Company will provide private medical insurance as a benefit. The actual package and structure of the insurance may be determined by the Company and at its sole discretion.
  • Mental Health Budget: We understand the importance of access to proper mental health support. All our employees can access a minimum budget of $500 USD per year for therapy with internationally trained psychologists. Access to this budget and the content of your therapy are 100% confidential; only you and your therapist know what is being said during sessions, of course.
