RESPONSIBILITIES

As a part of the regional new business team, you will be a focal point for the production and delivery of high-impact brand assets, including project credentials, visuals for blog posts, and for strategic communications delivered to brands across Southeast Asia. You will be a part of a fast-paced, high-engagement team, coordinating new business for industry-leading brands across Southeast Asia.

Reporting-line: VP for Strategy, ASEAN.

 

ABOUT  YOU

  • Ability to interact, communicate and present ideas in English
  • Ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple projects.
  • Excellent knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketching, and practical knowledge of animation is a plus.
  • Good teamwork spirit & attention to detail.
  • “Can do” attitude, able to work under pressure & tight deadline.

As an Account Manager at Vero, your role encompasses diverse responsibilities aimed at supporting the success and growth of our clients. Your tasks will span PR account support, media relations, event management, content preparation, and translation, all with the overarching goal of The Clients and Vero.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Demonstrated ability to discern both expressed and latent client needs, ensuring work aligns seamlessly with expectations.
  • Proficiency in providing initial client direction independently, informed by your strong engagement with website and application developments.
  • Capacity to envision projects holistically while effectively integrating detailed tasks within the broader context.
  • Active involvement in new business pitches, offering research support and coordination to establish Vero as a preferred long-term partner for marketing and communication services.
  • Tracking and reporting media activities, encompassing client and competitor coverage analysis.
  • Proficiency in leading meetings to distill comprehensive client requirements for the involved team members.
  • Skill in project management, encompassing goal-setting, action planning, sub-task delegation, and departmental coordination.
  • Efficient follow-up with stakeholders and clients to ensure project timelines are met.
  • Strong leadership acumen, including mentoring and guiding junior team members, thriving under pressure, and troubleshooting daily challenges effectively.

 

TRAVEL AND PLACE OF WORK 

Your primary work location will be Vero’s office at Amarin Tower, Bangkok. However, your work setting may vary based on the Company’s needs, including travel to locations such as Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines, or other designated areas. Any additional expenses incurred due to work from non-standard locations will be reimbursed by the Company.

Vero is a regional PR, social, and digital agency for clients across the ASEAN region.  We are seeking a high-potential storyteller to join our team in Bangkok to collaborate with clients and team members across the ASEAN region.

The successful candidate will lead a team focused on storytelling and content creation. 

The ideal candidate should be a journalist, writer with editorial experience or agency professional with deep expertise in research, interviewing, writing, digital storytelling, and developing story ideas.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Working to support teams to develop industry-leading content across topics related to consumer goods, finance, business, and public affairs.
  • Main responsibilities include leading a team of writers and editors to create newsworthy, impactful earned and owned awareness for our clients.  This includes producing high-quality social media content, blog posts, articles, press releases, speeches, white papers, and any other written assignments.
  • This role will require extensive collaboration with Vero’s account service, creative, media relations, and planning teams to help translate creative ideas into impactful messages. 
  • Suggest stories and generate headline ideas in alignment with client goals.
  • Oversee layout (artwork, design, photography) and check content for accuracy and errors.
  • Proofread, edit, and improve stories or pieces.
  • Conduct and lead bi-annual reviews of team members.
  • Motivate team members to achieve excellence.
  • Win awards for great writing and storytelling.
  • Comply with legal and ethical guidelines.
  • Be comfortable working in an extended team of communication professionals, in Thailand and abroad, and position as a driving force for exceptional project delivery and collaborative spirit.
  • Meet deadlines, budget requirements and manage the team’s bandwidth.
  • Be able to lead, advise, and coach team members.
  • Be able to work under pressure, and likely to find solutions to challenges.
  • Embrace AI and actively learn about how it can support content creation. Consider ways to “productize” AI for content creation.
  • Stand up for quality – and ensure that all content produced by Vero meets the highest standards of quality.
  • Develop an incentive program to reward writers and editors for success.  For example, the incentive program could provide financial rewards based upon big, positive, impactful coverage in Tier 1 media of a 1/2 page or larger, 1000 words, high engagement rates, and wire service coverage.
